The National Inventory (NIAH) is undertaking a survey of the architectural heritage of Ireland, published on the web at www.buildingsofireland.ie each county or regional survey is accompanied by an illustrated booklet showcasing the highlights of the area.

The launch of  ‘An Introduction to the Architectural Heritage of Dublin North City’, by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht/NIAH. This timely publication in termsof conservation unis the first in the series of booklets representing the cultural significance, context/topography and layering of different building periods that provide the unique character of Dublin . This publication provides a useful insight into Dublin’s maritime context, its surviving collection of buildings and infrastructure. This first publication highlight the North city and its various build periods from its earliest estates to the C20th landmarks such as Busarus, as seen on the cover.
